Three-Roller Plate Rolling Machine: Five Major Technological Features , The Difference From The Four-Roller Plate Rolling Machine

Plate Rolling Machine

Plate rolling machine (also called rolling machine) is a machine tool used for continuous point bending of metal sheets. According to its structure, it can be divided into two-roller plate rolling machine, three-roller plate rolling machine and four-roller plate rolling machine. Two-roller plate rolling machine mostly processes smaller plates, while four-roller plate rolling machine is usually used to process large plates, such as marine steel plates.

Structural principle of Plate rolling machine

Plate rolling machine equipment is mainly composed of three parts: main machine, hydraulic station and electric control cabinet. The high-pressure oil output by the electric oil pump is sent into the working cylinder or motor through the high-pressure oil pipe. The high-pressure oil pushes the plunger in the working cylinder or motor to generate thrust and torque, and bends the profile through the mold parts.

The rolling machine drives the transmission roller to use the friction between the roller and the iron plate to drive the other two rollers to roll, thereby rolling the iron plate into a cylindrical shape. By adjusting the distance between the rollers, the thickness and diameter of the workpiece can be adjusted.

Five Major Technological Features Of The Three-Roller Plate Rolling Machine

  1. High performance—full hydraulic drive, automatic welding;
  2. High motor power—-the main motor has high power, high efficiency, fast delivery, and a variety of applicable types;
  3. High strength—the equipment structure is stable and safe to use;
  4. Good safety—-sturdy and durable, long service life, stable machine performance.
  5. Wide applicability—-suitable for mechanical industries such as boilers, chemicals, mining, construction, and shipbuilding.

Differences Between Three-Roller Plate Rolling Machine And Four-Roller Plate Rolling Machine

The upper roller of the four-roller plate rolling machine is the main drive, connected to the upper roller through a reducer and a cross slider coupling to provide torque for the rolled plate; the lower roller makes vertical lifting and lowering movements, which is obtained by the reducer worm gear (bevel gear) and the screw nut screw rod, so as to clamp the plate, which is a mechanical transmission; side rollers are provided on both sides of the lower roller and tilt along the frame guide rail, and are driven by the screw nut screw worm gear (or bevel gear); all four working rollers use dynamic bearings. However, the difference of this roller causes the difference of the walking mechanism between the three-roller plate rolling machine and the four-roller plate rolling machine.

In the three-roller asymmetric plate rolling machine, the upper roller is the main drive, and the lower roller moves vertically to clamp the plate, and meshes with the upper roller gear through the lower roller gear, and serves as the main drive at the same time; the side roller moves up and down, and has the dual functions of pre-bending and rolling.

In the three-roller symmetrical plate rolling machine, the upper roller moves vertically at the symmetrical position of the center of the two lower rollers, which is obtained through the screw nut worm drive, and the two lower rollers rotate, and mesh with the lower roller gear through the output gear of the reducer to provide torque for the rolled plate.

Conclusion

Plate rolling machine can complete the pre-bending and curling of various specifications of cylindrical and arc-shaped workpieces after one loading, and the equipment performance is reliable.
